HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1

TO

HOUSE BILL NO. 91

AMEND House Bill No. 91 by inserting after line 183 and before line 184 the following:

“ (d) The licensure fees collected by the Department pursuant to this section are hereby appropriated to, and shall be retained by, the Department to defray operating expenses associated with this chapter. ”

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 91 by inserting after line 275 and before line 276 the following:

“ (g) Any licensure fees or fines collected by the Department pursuant to this section are hereby appropriated to, and shall be retained by, the Department to defray operating expenses associated with this chapter. ”

SYNOPSIS

This Amendment makes clear that the Department of Health and Social Services has the authority to collect fees and fines, with such fees or fines being appropriated to the Department to defray operating expenses associated with implementation of the Chapter.
