150th GENERAL ASSEMBLY

HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 20

RECOGNIZING THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE DELAWARE CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION.

WHEREAS, the Delaware Contractors Association (“DCA”) is a non-profit trade association comprised of general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, both union and merit shop, who perform commercial, heavy, highway, industrial, institutional, and utility construction throughout Delaware; and

WHEREAS, DCA was created from the merger of the Delaware Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America and Allied Industries of Delaware in 1969, and now celebrates its 50th anniversary as the leading voice of the construction industry in Delaware; and

WHEREAS, the commitment of DCA’s officers, executive committee, board of directors, and staff over these many years has been integral to DCA’s successful record of service to its membership and to the greater Delaware economy; and

WHEREAS, DCA has been an effective and tireless advocate at all levels of government in our state for the positive impact of the construction economy, workforce development, and best training practices.

NOW THEREFORE:

BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the 150 th General Assembly of the State of Delaware, the Senate concurring therein, that we honor the Delaware Contractors Association for 50 years of service to their members.

SYNOPSIS

This resolution recognizes the 50th anniversary of the Delaware Contractors Association.
