150th GENERAL ASSEMBLY

SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 28

RECOGNIZING APRIL 29 - MAY 4, 2019 AS "AUCTIONEERS WEEK" IN DELAWARE.

WHEREAS, auctioneering is one of history’s oldest professions; and

WHEREAS, auctions continue to be a fair, transparent, and effective means of establishing fair market value; and

WHEREAS, auction professionals strive to advance the auction method of marketing and subscribe to the highest level Code of Ethics in serving the American public; and

WHEREAS, auctions raise millions of dollars for charities every year; and

WHEREAS, the designation of Auctioneers Week by the State of Delaware will heighten public awareness of the contributions made by auctioneers.

NOW, THEREFORE:

BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the 150th General Assembly of the State of Delaware, the House of Representatives concurring therein, that we recognize April 29 – May 4, 2019 as Auctioneers Week in Delaware.
