HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1

TO

HOUSE BILL NO. 8

AMEND House Bill No. 8 by deleting lines 13 through 15 in their entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

" (3) "Qualified ex-offender" means any individual Delaware resident who has been convicted of a felony under any federal or state law and who has been release from confinement for that felony from a Level IV or Level V correctional facility located in Delaware within 1 year from the individual's date of hire. "

SYNOPSIS

The amendment clarifies that a "Qualified ex-offender" is a Delaware resident who was convicted of a felony and who has been released from confinement for that felony from a Level IV or Level V Delaware correctional facility within 1 year from the date of the individual's hire.
