HOUSE BILL NO. 185

AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 29 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO THE STATE SPORT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:

Section 1. Amend § 325, Title 29 of the Delaware Code by making deletions as shown by strikethrough and insertions as shown by underline as follows:

§ 325. State sport.

Bicycling Soccer is the official sport of the State.

Section 2. Amend § 325, Title 29 of the Delaware Code by making deletions as shown by strikethrough and insertions as shown by underline as follows:

Bicycling is the official sport of the State.

Section 3. Section 1 shall become effective upon enactment and shall expire on June 30, 2020. Section 2 shall become effective on July 1, 2020.

SYNOPSIS

This bill makes soccer the State Sport until June 30, 2020, then bicycling shall become the State Sport.
