AMEND House Bill No. 194 on line 24 by deleting “ § 3341A ” and inserting in lieu thereof “ § 3351A ”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 194 on line 27 by deleting “ § 3341A ” and inserting in lieu thereof “ § 3351A ”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 194 on line 123 by deleting “ § 3341A. ” and inserting in lieu thereof “ § 3351A. ”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 194 between line 143 and 144 inserting the following:

“ § 3352A. Applicability.

This subchapter does not apply to plans of health insurance or health benefits designed for issuance to persons eligible for coverage under Titles XVIII, XIX, and XXI of the Social Security Act, 42 U.S.C. §§ 1395 et seq., 1396 et seq., and 1397aa et seq., known as Medicare, Medicaid, or any other similar coverage under a State or federal government plan. ”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 194 on line 144 by deleting “ § 3342A. ” and inserting in lieu thereof “ § 3353A. ”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 194 on line 154 by deleting “ § 3344A ” and inserting in lieu thereof “ § 3355A ”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 194 on line 156 by deleting “ § 3343A. ” and inserting in lieu thereof “ § 3354A. ”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 194 on line 168 by deleting “ § 3344A ” and inserting in lieu thereof “ § 3355A ”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 194 on line 170 by deleting “ § 3344A. ” and inserting in lieu thereof “ § 3355A. ”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 194 on line 189 by deleting “ § 3345A. ” and inserting in lieu thereof “ § 3356A. ”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 194 on line 196 by deleting “ § 3346A. ” and inserting in lieu thereof “ § 3357A. ”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 194 on line 206 by deleting “ § 3347A. ” and inserting in lieu thereof “ § 3358A. ”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 194 on line 209 by deleting “ § 3348A. ” and inserting in lieu thereof “ § 3359A. ”.

SYNOPSIS

This Amendment does the following:

(1) Clarifies that this Act does not apply to plans of health insurance or health benefits designed for issuance to persons eligible for coverage under Medicare, Medicaid, or any other similar coverage under a State or federal government plan.

(2) Changes Delaware Code section designations in the Act due to conflicts with existing Code section designations in Chapter 33 of Title 18. This avoids the need for the Code Revisors to redesignate the conflicting Code sections.
