HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1

TO

HOUSE BILL NO. 239

AMEND House Bill No. 239 by striking lines 31 through 35 in their entirety.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 239 by adding the following after line 39 and before the Synopsis:

“Section 2. This Act takes effect 60 days after its enactment into law.”

SYNOPSIS

This Amendment clarifies the procedures that must be followed to obtain a court order for an examination for the collection of evidence when the patient is unconscious or anesthetized. This Amendment also provides an effective date which is 60 days after its enactment into law.
