HOUSE BILL NO. 70

AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 11 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO ESTABLISHMENT OF BUREAUS WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTION.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:

Section 1. Amend § 6520 of Title 11 by making deletions as shown by strike through and insertions as shown by underline as follows:

§ 6520 Establishment of Bureaus.

There shall be within the Department the following bureaus:

(1) a A Bureau of Management Administrative Services, Services.

(2) A Bureau of Correctional Healthcare , Substance Abuse, and Mental Health Services, Services.

(3) A Bureau of Prisons Prisons . and

(4) A Bureau of Community Corrections, and Corrections.

(5) such Such other bureaus, divisions , and subdivisions, with such personnel as the Commissioner shall deem desirable.

SYNOPSIS

This Act revises the bureaus established within the Department of Correction.

This Act also makes technical corrections to conform existing language to the standards of the Delaware Drafting Manual.
