HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1

TO

HOUSE BILL NO. 22

AMEND House Bill No. 22 by deleting line 3 in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

“ Chapter 25G. The Delaware Digital Right to Repair Act

§ 2501G. This chapter shall be cited as the Delaware Digital Right to Repair Act. ”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 22 on line 25 by deleting the numeral “ 2 ” as it appears therein.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 22 on line 41 by deleting the phrase “ or leasing ” as it appears therein.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 22 on line 43 by deleting the phrase “ or leases ” as it appears therein.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 22 by deleting lines 61 through 63 in their entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

“ § 2504G. Enforcement by Attorney General. A violation of this section shall be deemed an unlawful practice under § 2513 of this title and a violation of subchapter II of Chapter 25 of this title. ”.

FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 22 on lines 68 and 77 by deleting the phrase “ section 2(a) ’ as it appears therein and inserting in lieu thereof the following “§ 2502G(a) ”.

SYNOPSIS

This amendment adds enforcement language to be consistent with standard Department of Justice Fraud Division language, removes leased equipment from the act, and makes a technical correction.
