HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 8

A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE WEEK OF APRIL 18, 2021 THROUGH APRIL 24, 2021 AS NATIONAL MEDICAL LABORATORY PROFESSIONALS WEEK.

WHEREAS, the medical laboratory is a cornerstone of the health care community, guiding and informing patient care; and

WHEREAS, medical laboratory professionals and pathologists are the healthcare professionals who develop, implement, perform, and interpret the tests and results that diagnose everything from strep throat and diabetes to cancer and COVID-19; and

WHEREAS, medical laboratory professionals have played a vital role in the health care of every person since birth; and

WHEREAS, medical laboratory professionals have worked diligently in developing COVID-19 testing, and the COVID-19 vaccine.

NOW, THEREFORE:

BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the 151st General Assembly of the State of Delaware that we recognize April 18, 2021 through April 24, 2021 as "National Medical Laboratory Professional Week " in Delaware.
