HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 4

TO

SENATE BILL NO. 15

AMEND Senate Bill 15 by inserting after line 12 the following:

“ (b) Non-Profit Organizations will be permitted to pay their employees a minimum wage of eighty-five percent of the applicable rate under this statute.

(c) For the purposes of this statute, “Non-Profit Organizations” will be defined as incorporated or unincorporated organizations formed for religious, charitable, scientific, literary, or educational purposes. ”.

SYNOPSIS

This amendment will allow a limited exemption to Non-Profit Organizations, allowing these employers to pay their employees 85% of the minimum wage rate established in this bill.
