HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 3

SENATE BILL NO. 15

AMEND Senate Bill No. 15 by inserting after line 12 the following:

“ (b) Small businesses will be permitted to pay their employees a minimum wage of eighty-five percent of the applicable rate under this statute.

(c) For the purposes of this Chapter, a “small business” shall be defined as a business having a full-time equivalent of 100 or fewer Delaware based employees. ”.

SYNOPSIS

This amendment will allow a limited exemption to Small Businesses, allowing these employers to pay their employees 85% of the minimum wage rate established in this bill.
