HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 6

SENATE SUBSTITUTE NO. 1

FOR

SENATE BILL NO. 7

AMEND Senate Substitute No. 1 for Senate Bill No. 7, as amended, by deleting line 74 in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

“ the The presumption is that the court will set a conditions of release bond guaranteed by financial terms or a conditions of release bond guaranteed by financial terms secured by cash, in an amount ”.

FURTHER AMEND Senate Substitute No. 1 for Senate Bill No. 7, as amended, by deleting line 76 in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof “ that offense. secured by cash only will be set. ”.

SYNOPSIS

This Amendment allows defendants to post bail in the form of cash or property and may be posted by the defendant or by someone on the defendant's behalf, e.g., a relative or a bail bondsman.
