AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 21 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO DRIVER’S LICENSE AND VEHICLE REGISTRATION.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:

Section 1. Amend § 2104(a), Title 21 of the Delaware Code by making insertions as shown by underline and deletions as shown by strike through as follows:

§ 2104. Application for registration.

(a) Every owner of a vehicle desiring registration shall make application to the Department for the registration thereof upon the appropriate form or forms furnished by the Department. Every such application shall bear the signature of the owner written with pen and ink, and the signature shall be acknowledged by the owner before a person authorized to administer oaths. in a manner acceptable to the Department.

Section 2. Amend § 2721(a), Title 21 of the Delaware Code by making insertions as shown by underline and deletions as shown by strike through as follows:

§ 2721. Duty to sign and carry license.

(a) Every person licensed as an operator shall write the person’s usual signature with pen and ink ,in a manner acceptable to the Department, in the spaces provided for that purpose on the license certificate and such license shall not be valid until the certificated is so signed.

Section 3. Amend § 3106, Title 21 of the Delaware Code by making insertions as shown by underline and deletions as shown by strike through as follows:

§ 3106. Signature.

Every holder of an identification card shall write the holder’s usual signature with pen and ink ,in a manner acceptable to the Department, in the space provided for that purpose on the card and such card shall not be valid until the card is so signed.
