AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 21 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO THE OCCUPANT PROTECTION SYSTEM SAFETY ACT. |
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:
Amend § 4802(g)(2), Title 21 of the Delaware Code by inserting as a new Subsection "c." as follows:
"c. If the person subject to the assessment in Subsection "a." is under 18 years of age, that person’s driving privileges shall be revoked for 6 months and the person shall be eligible for a Level 1 learners permit with driving supervised by a parent pursuant to § 2710 of this Title.".
SYNOPSIS
This Bill requires that any teenage driver under 18 ticketed for driving without a seatbelt on would have their license revoked and be re-issued a Level 1 learner’s permit for 6 months. |
