HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO HOUSE BILL NO. 428 |
Amend House Bill No. 428 at line 19 by striking the words "as a covered firefighter" and by substituting in lieu thereof the words "in his or her State job".
Further Amend House Bill No. 428 at line 23 by striking the word "a" from the phrase "a leave of absence" and by inserting in lieu thereof the phrase "an unpaid".
SYNOPSIS

This Amendment revises the definition of disability so that it is an impairment that renders a person unable to function at their State job, not an impairment to their serving as a firefighter. Further, the Amendment makes clear that the leavo of absence is unpaid. |
