This amendment strikes Section 28 of the bill which would require that any child charged with assault in the first degree or robbery in the first degree be proceeded against as an adult in the Superior Court without first having the opportunity to have an amenability hearing in the Family Court. First degree assault and robbery cases have been within the jurisdiction of the Family Court for many years.
