SENATE BILL NO. 39

AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 29, CHAPTER 48 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO THE DELAWARE LOTTERY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:

Section 1. Amend Subsection 4805(a)(23), Chapter 48, Title 29 of the Delaware Code by deleting the following sentence from the existing subsection:

"None of the information disclosed pursuant to this subsection shall be subject to disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act, §§10001-10005 of this title.".

Section 2. Amend §4820, Chapter 48, Title 29 of the Delaware Code by adding a new subsection (g) to provide as follows:

"(g) Each licensed video lottery agent shall annually provide to the General Assembly a report detailing the agent's profits or losses from video lottery operations.".

SYNOPSIS

This Act would provide that a video lottery agent's reporting and auditing information regarding the video lottery is subject to the Freedom of Information Act. The Act would also require each video lottery agent to provide the General Assembly with an annual profit or loss report for video lottery operations.
