HOUSE BILL NO. 160

 

AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 30 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO COMPUTATION OF GROSS RECEIPTS TAXES.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:

 


Section 1.  Amend § 2901(4)a., Title 30 of the Delaware Code, by deleting the phrase “such person.” as it appears therein at the end of paragraph “a” and  by inserting in lieu thereof the following:

“or receipts derived from the sale of prescription drugs by licensed pharmacies.”.

Section 2.  This Act shall be effective for tax years beginning after December 31, 2005.


SYNOPSIS

The Act eliminates gross receipts tax on prescription drugs.
