AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 29 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT.

 


BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:

 


                Section 1. Amend §10002(c), Title 29 of the Delaware Code, by striking from the last sentence the language “the General Assembly of the State, nor any caucus thereof, or committee, subcommittee, ad hoc committee, special committee or temporary committee” and substituting in lieu thereof the  language “any caucus of the House of Representatives or Senate of the State”.


SYNOPSIS

This bill allows the public to have access to meetings of the Delaware General Assembly except for caucuses.  Additionally, the bill allows the public to have access to records of the Delaware General Assembly. The current exceptions that apply to public bodies and public records would apply to meetings and records of the Delaware General Assembly.
