SENATE BILL NO. 290

AN ACT TO NAME THE SMYRNA STATE SERVICE CENTER IN HONOR OF DAVID P. BUCKSON.

WHEREAS, David P. Buckson was born and raised in Kent County; and

WHEREAS, David P. Buckson served his country in the South Pacific during WW II; and

WHEREAS, David P. Buckson served the State of Delaware as Lieutenant Governor, Governor and Attorney General; and

WHEREAS, David P. Buckson also served the State of Delaware in the Judiciary as a Judge in the Court of Common Pleas and as a Family Court Judge; and

WHEREAS, it seems fitting that a Service Center in Kent County be named for David P. Buckson.

NOW, THEREFORE:

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:

Section 1. The Smyrna State Service Center is hereby named and shall be referred to as the David P. Buckson Smyrna State Service Center.

SYNOPSIS

This Act names the Smyrna State Service Center in honor of David P. Buckson.
