SENATE BILL NO. 198

 

 

AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 21 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO VEHICLES.

 


BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:

 


Section 1.  Amend § 4339(a) of Title 21 of the Delaware Code by deleting that subsection in its entirety and replacing it with the following:

“(a) Front clearance lamps and those marker lamps and reflectors mounted on the front or on the side near the front of a vehicle shall display and reflect an amber color.”

Section 2.  Amend § 4339(b) of Title 21 of the Delaware Code by deleting the subsection in its entirety and replacing it with the following:

“(b) Rear clearance lamps and those marker lamps and reflectors mounted on the rear or on the sides near the rear of a vehicle shall display and reflect a red color.”  


SYNOPSIS

          This Bill brings Delaware into compliance with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) which requires the front marker lights and the front reflectors of a vehicle to be amber, and the rear marker lights and the rear reflectors of a vehicle to be red.
