SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 31

 

 

RECOGNIZING JUNE 6 THROUGH JUNE 12, 2010 AS PARALEGAL WEEK.

 


 


WHEREAS, a paralegal is a person qualified by education or work experience who is authorized to perform tasks requiring substantial legal knowledge that would by law, rules or ethics be otherwise performed by an attorney; and

WHEREAS, paralegals are an integral and invaluable part of Delaware’s legal community; and

WHEREAS, paralegals across The First State make quality legal services more accessible and affordable to Delawareans; and

WHEREAS,  the Delaware Paralegal Association enhances the role of paralegals in the Delaware legal community by promoting and maintaining high standards and ethics in the paralegal profession by promoting a forum for the exchange of information concerning the profession and by encouraging the legal education of paralegals.

NOW, THEREFORE:

BE IT RESOLVED, by the Senate of the 145th General Assembly of the State of Delaware, the House of Representatives concurring therein, that we recognize June 6 through June 12, 2010 as Paralegal Week in the State of Delaware and we urge all Delawareans to recognize and appreciate the important role paralegals play in the delivery of legal services throughout The First State.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable prepared copy of this Resolution be presented to the Delaware Paralegal Association.


 

                   This Resolution recognizes June 6 through June 12, 2010 as paralegal week.
