146th GENERAL ASSEMBLY

SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 11

IN RECOGNITION OF THE 2011 ALL STAR AWARD RECIPIENTS OF THE DELAWARE HEALTH CARE FACILITIES ASSOCIATION DURING NATIONAL NURSING HOME WEEK.

WHEREAS, Delaware has been in the forefront of national efforts to provide quality care to residents of long term care facilities; and

WHEREAS, our community’s citizens now residing in long term care facilities have contributed immeasurably to the state of Delaware’s heritage, success and growth over the years; and

WHEREAS, residents of any age or ability are themselves living history and a precious resource; and

WHEREAS, the State of Delaware has emphasized the importance of attracting, retaining, recognizing, and rewarding exemplary employees; and

WHEREAS, the Delaware Health Care Facilities Association (DHCFA) annually recognizes those long term care facility employees, who have distinguished themselves in providing quality services to the elderly and disabled residing in long term care facilities, during National Nursing Home Week, whose theme this year, ”Fullfilling the Promise”, begins on Mother’s Day, May 8th, and ends on May 14th; and

WHEREAS, this year's award winners are:

WHEREAS, the 2011 Community Advocate All Star Award goes to Moonyeen Leonard Klopfenstein, Christiana Care.

NOW, THEREFORE:

BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the 146th General Assembly of the State of Delaware, the House of Representatives concurring therein, hereby recognizes and congratulates these deserving 2011 AWARD RECIPIENTS OF THE DHCFA ALL STAR AWARDS in the State of Delaware, and urge all Delawareans to join us in applauding these individuals along with all persons who are dedicated to providing quality care for our most vulnerable citizens.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitably prepared copy of this resolution be delivered to the Representative of DHCFA during the legislative session on May 11, 2011.
