HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 2

TO

SENATE BILL NO. 34

AMEND Senate Bill No. 34 at line 5 by inserting the following between “designee,” and “or the President of the Delaware State Troopers Association or his/her designee”:

“the Executive Director of the Delaware Retired School Personnel Association or his/her designee,”.

SYNOPSIS

This amendment to Senate Bill No. 34 adds the Delaware Retired School Personnel Association (“DRSPA”) to the list of organizations from which the Governor may select the two appointments to the State Employee Benefits Committee. The DRSPA originated in the 1950’s and represents approximately 2,000 retirees who worked in Delaware’s public schools in various capacities.
