AMEND House Bill No. 47 on line 26 by adding the following immediately after the text:
“Notwithstanding the definitions of the terms ‘freestanding birthing center’, ‘freestanding surgical center’, and ‘freestanding emergency center’, the term ‘facility’ includes abortion clinics.”.
FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 47 on line 29 by adding the following immediately after the word “procedures” and before the period (“.”) at the end of the text:
“, as well as abortion procedures”.
FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 47 on line 39 by inserting between “procedure” and “in which anesthesia” the phrase “, including abortion,”.
SYNOPSIS

This amendment clarifies that abortion clinics and abortion procedures are covered by the provisions of House Bill No. 47. |
