K. Williams DESCRIPTION: AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 14 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO
FEES FOR EDUCATOR LICENSURE.
|
ASSUMPTIONS:
1.
This
Act is effective upon signature of the Governor.
2. There is currently a one-time fee of
$100 for an educator’s first license to teach in Delaware. This Act reimburses
the fee for teacher applicants who become teachers in a Delaware public school.
3. Revenue from the one-time fee is
currently deposited into the General Fund at approximately $150,000 annually
(based on the Fee Impact statement related to the legislation creating the
fee). This Act will create a special fund in the Department of Education from
these fee revenues at an amount of $90,000 for the sole purpose of reimbursing
