Carson DESCRIPTION: AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 7 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO
HUNTING.

ASSUMPTIONS:
1.
Effective
upon signature of the Governor.
2.
This
Act allows for the hunting of deer on private land on Sundays.
3.
The
Department estimates the fiscal impact of this Act will be $69,310 for the
first year and $61,810 each year thereafter, in order to implement Sunday
hunting on private lands. The estimated costs are listed below:

The
Department estimates that it will require salary costs in the amount of $54,310
in overtime pay for existing full-time enforcement officers and one part-time
reserve officer for five months out of the year (Sundays only).

Other
costs associated with implementing Sunday hunting consist of contractual
services in the amount of $7,000 to include fleet rental and cell phone
usage. A one-time cost of $7,500 to
fully equip one reserve officer within the first year is required.
