SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO HOUSE BILL NO. 228 |

AMEND House Bill No. 228 by deleting line 22 and substituting in lieu thereof the following:
“for Farmers’ Markets no more than 150 liters of beer, 100 liters of
wine and mead, and 50 liters of spirits may be sold per day, and for
agricultural-themed events no more than 175 liters of beer, 125 liters of wine
and mead, and 75 liters of spirits may be sold”
FURTHER AMEND House Bill No. 228 by inserting after line 32 the following:
“Section 2. This section shall expire on November 30, 2019. The Office of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Commissioner shall provide the Governor, the President Pro Tempore and the Speaker of the House with a report summarizing the effect of these sales upon the retail market by March 15, 2019.
SYNOPSIS
This amendment reduces the amounts allowed to be sold per day for off-premise consumption. It also sunsets the bill and requires the Commissioner to report on the effect of sales on the retail market. |
