SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1

TO

HOUSE BILL NO. 34

AMEND HB 34, as amended by HA 2, on line 4 of HA 2 to HB 34 by inserting, “which has a direct financial impact for the local school district, any school within a local school district or charter school,” between “Department” and “shall” therein.

FURTHER AMEND HB 34, as amended by HA 2, by deleting line 5 of HA 2 to HB 34 and by inserting in lieu thereof the following: “local school district or charter school after the start of a fiscal year (July 1) unless the superintendent for that district or head of school for that charter school specifically approves”

FURTHER AMEND HB 34, as amended by HA 2, on line 8 of HA 2 to HB 34 by inserting “or charter school” between “district” and “.”

SYNOPSIS

This Amendment requires that the restriction only applies when there is a direct financial impact created by the new or amended rule, regulation or administrative procedure. This Amendment also clarifies that Charter Schools are included in the restriction.
