| Long Title: | EXPRESSING THE DESIRE THAT DELAWARE TECHNICAL & COMMUNITY COLLEGE REMAIN AN OPEN ADMISSION INSTITUTION AND DIRECTING THE CO-CHAIRS OF THE JOINT BOND BILL COMMITTEE TO WORK WITH THE OFFICE OF THE CONTROLLER GENERAL AND THE COLLEGE TO IDENTIFY A STABLE FUNDING SOURCE TO FINANCE THE COLLEGE'S NEED FOR MAJOR AND MINOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS AND DEFERRED MAINTENANCE. |
| Synopsis: | This concurrent resolution expresses the desire of the General Assembly that Delaware Technical & Community College remain an open admission institution and not to be forced to turn away Delawareans seeking to improve their lives through higher education and job training, and directing the co-chairs of the Joint Bond Bill Committee to work with the Office of the Controller General and Delaware Tech to identify a stable funding source to finance the College’s major and minor capital improvements and deferred maintenance.
