| Long Title: | AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 9, TITLE 10 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO COURTS AND JUDICAL PROCEDURE. |
| Synopsis: | This legislation codifies the Court’s existing procedural authority to issue a Writ of Injunction/Sequestration in Protection from Abuse actions. New subsection (11) codifies Family Court’s procedure to issue an order to any law enforcement agency to seize firearms of the respondent if the petitioner has shown that respondent has used or threatened to use a firearm against petitioner, or petitioner is fearful that respondent may use a firearm against petitioner, and respondent has possession of a firearm that the petitioner can describe both the type and location of the firearm.
