| Long Title: | AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 11 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO CORRECTIONAL HEALTHCARE. |
| Synopsis: | This Bill establishes the Adult Correction Healthcare Review Committee and sets forth its purpose to provide advice and counsel in relation to the provision of adequate healthcare services to the incarcerated population within the State of Delaware. Due to the highly litigious nature of the subject matter and the General Assembly’s desire to encourage frank, forthright and open discussion amongst the Committee members, the Bill exempts the Committee from the Freedom of Information Act as it relates to open meetings and public records. The Committee shall be required to report to both the Governor and the General Assembly each year regarding the state of inmate healthcare in Delaware.
