| Long Title: | AN ACT TO RENAME THE DELAWARE CORRECTIONAL CENTER NEAR SMYRNA IN HONOR OF THE LATE DELAWARE COMMISSIONER OF CORRECTION AND DELAWARE STATE SENATOR, JAMES T. VAUGHN. |
| Synopsis: | This Act has the effect of renaming the Delaware Correctional Center near Smyrna as the “James T. Vaughn Correctional Center” in honor of the late Senator and onetime Commissioner of Correction James T. Vaughn of Clayton, who passed away in October, 2007 at the age of 82. This gesture is made because of his tireless efforts over many years, both as Commissioner and as the longtime Chairman of the Senate Adult and Juvenile Corrections Committee, toward the betterment of Delaware’s prison system.
