Long Title:URGING THE DELAWARE STATE FIRE COMMISSION TO ESTABLISH A DELAWARE BURN CAMP TO HELP YOUNG PEOPLE WHO HAVE SUFFERED BURNS DEAL WITH THE PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL ISSUES ARISING FROM SUCH INJURIES.
Synopsis:This Concurrent Resolution urges the Delaware State Fire Commission to establish a Delaware Burn Camp to help young people who have suffered severe burns deal with the physical and emotional issues arising from such injuries. This measure further asks the Commission to take a series of actions to move the process for establishing the camp forward. These steps include the establishment of a Board of Directors, setting a deadline for the first meeting of the board, and requesting that the General Assembly be updated as to their progress no later than March 1, 2009.
It is the request of this Resolution that all camp infrastructure and guidelines be established and the first of the camp sessions be available for the summer of 2009.
