Long Title:AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 11 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO THE CONTINUOUS REMOTE ALCOHOL MONITORING PILOT PROGRAM.
Synopsis: House Bill No. 434 codifies the Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitoring Program as a permanent sentencing alternative for Delaware Courts, the Department of Correction and the Board of Parole. To eliminate any fiscal impact caused by permanently codifying the SCRAM program, this substitute bill gives the Department of Correction sole authority to determine which offenders are accepted into the program but allows the Board of Parole and sentencing courts to request and recommend a period of continuous remote alcohol monitoring.
