Long Title:AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 11 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO SPECIFIC OFFENSES.
Synopsis: Currently, if a person intentionally causes serious physical injury or physical injury to first responders such as a law enforcement officer or firefighter that person has committed the offense of assault in the first degree or assault in the second degree respectively. This bill includes emergency medical technicians, fire police, fire marshals and paramedics acting in the lawful performance of duty to the group of first responders listed as special victims for assault in the first degree and assault in the second degree.
