| Long Title: | AN ACT TO AMEND THE CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF FELTON, CHAPTER 91, VOLUME 70, LAWS OF DELAWARE, AS AMENDED, TO PRECLUDE CONTEMPORANEOUS SERVICE ON THE TOWN COUNCIL BY RELATED INDIVIDUALS, TO CHANGE THE DURATION OF THE TERM OF A MEMBER OF THE TOWN COUNCIL, AND TO IMPLEMENT USE OF THE KENT COUNTY VOTER REGISTRATION SYSTEM. |
| Synopsis: | This bill amends the Town Charter of the Town of Felton to prohibit family members from serving on or running for the Town Council concurrently.
This bill also amends the Town Charter to implement a new length of elected term of office for members of the Town Council increasing the length of the term from two years to three years.
Finally, this bill amends the Town Charter by requiring that the Town use the State’s Voter Registration system as its source for registered voters.
