AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 15 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS. |
| Synopsis: | This Act expressly makes the general provisions of municipal elections except for the City of Wilmington applicable to the provisions on absentee voting in municipal elections except for the City of Wilmington. It also expressly provides that municipal Boards of Elections shall have the power and duty to hear cases and render decisions relating to alleged violations of pre-election activity that is contrary to the provisions on absentee voting and that the Elections Commissioner shall have the power and duty to decide appeals from such Board of Elections decisions. Furthermore, the Act requires municipalities to reimburse the Department of Elections that provides the voting machines for its election the costs of services provided based on a fee schedule established by the State Election Commissioner.
