Gerald Brady has represented Wilmington’s 4th Representative District since 2006. Executive Director of the Delaware AFL-CIO, he is a believer in the strength and necessity of unions. As a former Wilmington City Councilman from 1996-2006 and a native Wilmingtonian, Gerald foraged strong ties with the City, which he carried with him to the General Assembly. He is a Commissioner on the Delaware Interagency Council on Homelessness and a Board Member of the Greater Wilmington Convention and Visitor Bureau, a fourth degree Knight of Columbus, and a member of the Stapler Athletic Association.
Soft-spoken but direct, he is known for his honesty, kindness, and willingness to work with and lead others. Gerald is a Civil War aficionado, a Chief Warrant Officer Four with the Delaware Army National Guard where he served since 1981, and a Veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and the Counter War on Terrorism. He has been married for 29-years and has four children.
