AN ACT TO AMEND THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF DELAWARE CITY RELATING TO VACANCIES AND FORFEITURE OF OFFICE.

This Act amends the Charter of Delaware City, providing for use of a special election to fill vacancies in the office of Councilperson. Specifically, the Act authorizes the Mayor, within 14 days of the vacancy, to set a date for a special election and notify the Department of Elections of the same.
