This Amendment makes the following changes to Senate Bill No. 91:
It establishes that carbon monoxide detection devices required under Chapter 66C be installed according to the manufacturer's installation instructions.
It removes the specific locations and specific rooms where carbon monoxide detection devices required under § 6602C must be installed.
It corrects a typographical error so that the word used is "unit" not "unity".
It removes the requirement that carbon monoxide detection devices be installed under the requirements of § 6603C if there is a conflict between the requirements of this section and the manufacturer's installation instructions.
It adds the word "built" to each subsection of § 6604C.
It extends the deadline to install carbon monoxide detection devices required under Chapter 66C from 1 year from the enactment of Senate Bill No. 91 to December 31, 2019 for lodging establishments in the process of being built on the date Senate Bill No. 91 is enacted.
It extends the deadline to install carbon monoxide detection devices required under Chapter 66C from 2 years from the enactment of Senate Bill No. 91 to December 31, 2020 for lodging establishments in existence on the date Senate Bill No. 91 is enacted.
It makes Senate Bill No. 91 effective on January 1, 2019.
