This amendment clarifies which public schools are eligible for the funding for athletic trainers and the criteria to be used by the Department of Education to phase in the selection of schools for the program.
Additionally, the amendment makes it clear that the athletic trainer will serve the needs of all students not just those participating in athletic programs.
