This amendment does the following: (1) it clarifies that the prohibition applies to a “direct” supervisor; (2) it simplifies the provision relating to adoption of an anti-nepotism policy in parts of state government outside of the executive branch; (3) it incorporates a definition of relative from the State merit employee rules.
