This amendment changes House Bill 80 by clarifying the following: (1) The revised pension multiplier only applies to years of service on or after January 1, 2022; (2) That the employee contribution for a correction officer or specified peace officer is 7% of all annual compensation. This amendment also adds State Police Drug Diversion Unit agents, who are not Delaware State Police Troopers, to the definition of “specified peace officer”, and makes clear that Delaware State University police officers are also "specified peace officers".
