This Amendment to House Bill 105 requires that physicians provide the Board of Medical Licensure and Discipline notice of how patients may obtain their old medical records when a physician's medical practice closes or the physician dies. It also clarifies that when a physician notifies a patient that the patient-physician relationship will be discontinued, the notice shall include the date the physician services will be discontinued. Finally, this Amendment makes this Act effective 6 months after its enactment.
