AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 21 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO SPECIAL LICENSE OR REGISTRATION PLATES FOR FLYERS CHARITIES.
This Act creates a special license plate for Flyers Charities which will help raise both money and awareness for the charity’s philanthropic activities in Delaware. The threshold for license plates is lowered from 200 to 100 by this bill, in order to allow the Comcast-Spectacor Foundation to gain a stronger charitable presence in Delaware. Past beneficiaries of the charity include but are not limited to – Penn Hospice at Rittenhouse, Rodney Street Tennis & Tutoring Association, YMCA, Firefly Literacy Fund, Virtua Foundation, Foundation for Melanoma Research, Arthur Ashe Youth Tennis & Education Center, Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation, and Living Beyond Breast Cancer.
