This amendment brings the original into harmony and compliance with the federal laws pertaining to the regulation of federal firearms licensees (FFLs) by bringing Delaware’s definition of firearm into compliance with the operable federal definition as codified at 18 USC § 921(a)(16) for these limited purposes, only. The federal statute defining firearms excludes antique firearms. This amendment does the same, thus avoiding confusion for both the FFL and Delaware’s enforcement agencies.
