Legislative Hall Parking Garage Project Information
The Division of Facilities Management is overseeing a project to build a 344-space parking garage in the parking lot next to the Del-One Credit Union near the south (Senate) side of Legislative Hall. The goal of this project is to address a lack of adequate parking at Legislative Hall and in the Capitol Complex. This project is underway and is expected to be completed in the Fall of 2027.
Beginning July 6, 2026, visitors to Legislative Hall should be aware of the following:
- Parking in the lot next to the Del-One Credit Union will be prohibited as the parking lot will be closed for staging equipment and site work, including construction of the parking garage.
- As a result, visitors will need to park in other lots around Legislative Hall. Parking is available behind the Tatnall building (across the street from the Del-One Credit Union) or at the Public Archives building. Please do not park in spaces marked “Reserved” as you will be asked to move or towed by Capitol Police.
- This project will produce noise that will impact both the exterior and the interior of Legislative Hall. Please pardon the noise as the project contractor works diligently to complete the project.
If you have questions on this project or its impacts, please contact the Division of Legislative Services at (302) 744-4114 or dga_reception@delaware.gov.
