AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 29 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO THE STATE EMPLOYEES' PENSION PLAN.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:
Section 1. Amend § 5501, Title 29 of the Delaware Code by making deletions as shown by strike through and insertions as shown by underline as follows:
§ 5501. Definitions.
(m) Any other provisions of this chapter notwithstanding, the blind and sighted employees of the concession stands which are operated by and under the control of the Bureau for the Visually Impaired, if otherwise qualified under this chapter and regardless of the source from which their respective salaries were heretofore paid, shall be considered in covered employment under this chapter, and the time from which their period of service shall be deemed to have commenced shall be the time when they began their respective service starting in 1948. [Repealed.]
Section 2. This Act takes effect on January 1, 2020.
